From 1st of December 2022 the introduction of the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 mean that Tenancy Agreements are now called Occupation Contracts and Tenants are called Contract Holders.
The document that we have sent you now replaces your existing tenancy agreement to comply with the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016. The information in the contract lists your responsibilities as a contract holder, and responsibilities for Bron Afon as your landlord. Please keep this in a safe place.
Your secure occupation contract will show your weekly charges, but will not include any extra charges you pay towards services such as tenant insurance or scooter usage. It will also not include any benefits you receive towards your payments, such as Universal Credit, Housing Benefit or Welsh Water HelpU tariff. You can find a full breakdown of your current charges on your rent increase notification letter.
Your receipt of this occupation contract will not change any of the current rights you have as a contract holder (tenant).
