Our Inclusion and Investment team won the support and care team of the year award (for landlords with over 8,000 homes) at the UK Housing Heroes Awards.
The team set up the That Works Training Academy last year to give people the skills they need to find work including job placements and interview skills.
From working to support people with complex needs and stepping in to offer advice to people before they get into difficulty to decluttering people’s homes is all part of the varied work the team do. They also run a programme that 280 young people have taken part in promoting healthy relationships.
Alan Brunt, our chief executive, said: “The team work hard to get people back into work and supporting them to be independent. It’s often hard to keep up with the great work they do every day of the week.
“This award is well deserved and I’m very proud of the difference they make to peoples lives.”Back
