Eva and the team.
Eva Cook our Community Involvement Manager talks about our members Christmas Cheer event!
We were bursting at the seams with members who joined us to celebrate a year of fantastic volunteering and involvement.
In the last 12 months we have seen 468 members give their time to help us shape our services and to deliver projects in their communities.
They have given a total of 3059 hours of volunteering across a wide range of services and initiatives.
53 local schools and community groups have been supported to do some fantastic work in their local areas.
Members tell what it feels like to be involved with Bron Afon:
‘Good! Feel valued as a tenant, to get feedback is good’.
‘Part of the bigger picture’.
‘It’s made me feel that I have real input and ideas that I come up with up are listened to’.
‘Part of a working team’.
So as a thank you for their dedication and support we all got together for a bit of fun and a turkey roll last night! We had the Cwmbran deaf choir perform Christmas carols, which moved everyone to tears. We had fabulous staff from across the business join in and help with Christmas activities such as decorating the Mutualitree! A big thanks goes out to Louise Sheppard, the chair of one the community groups that we have supported, who donated the tree as a thank you!
Snowy the SnowLady even made it snow!

Next year will be another great year for our members to get involved, so don't forget to come and see the involvement team who will help your service area get the involvement you need!Back
